# Monetization & Sustainability

Microtransactions in Penguin Wars follow a model that is on-par with modern-day standards, featuring a variety of cosmetics, upgrades, and other purchases of different rarities and exclusivity. It is a system that is familiar to all gaming audiences, yet not overly complex or predatory; in the vast majority of cases, these items will be purely optional.

Tournaments, PvP games, and other events will require a certain amount of $ICED to encourage fairness, drive competition, and sustain $ICED’s value.

To further empower free-to-play users and enable more opportunities for earning and progression, Penguin Wars will also implement, where possible, the option to view ads to bypass cooldowns and other restrictions. This will serve as an additional revenue model for Penguin Wars, in which case 75% of the income will be used for buyback and burn purposes.
